Barceloooooona!

All this hype about Barcelona. All this 'fiesta, fiesta' stuff. The city that awakes at midnight. I have to say, I was very sceptical about the Spanish metropoly. All my life I had been a Barcelona hater. Without ever having been there.

Yet, surprise, surprise, the city is just awesome! Colorful buildings, exceptional food, smiling faces, and great weather (despite the rain the last couple of days). The view over the city down to the sea from Parc Guel made me take a deep breath while thinking "why haven't I come here earlier? Why did I throw away years of my youth in Sweden, a cold country with a cold culture?".

Well, it's never too late to wage new steps in unexplored terrain. However, I have to concentrate on something else first: my first job. And this job is unfortunately not in Barcelona but in Belgium's capital Brussels. It's gonna be a huge challenge. Language-wise, cultural-wise and not at least work-wise. Since it's just a 6 month contract with the company, I have to perform very good in order to get the contract pro-longed. Morover, to move from my safe little Lund with my friends and basketball team mates to Europe's capital is exactly the abovementioned step into a new realm. Exciting and new. Exactly what I needed. But also tough for my personal relationship(s).
